Annual Meeting at Super Sunday
Like in 2007 the Silver Arrows will hold their annual meeting at the day the Super Bowl will be played. There the Arrows will invite at first the youth meeting and then the annual meeting of the club in the Clubroom. Even with important items on the agenda, like reelections and amendments of the statutes, non of the persons in charge is thinking about troubles.

It is an advantage for the club, as there are now two of the most important things for a football club on the same day. The one thing is the Super Bowl, the big final game of the American professional football league, the NFL. This event is fixed on the 3rd February this year and the Arrows will host the other important event, their annual meeting, on this day.

“Normally the feedback for the meeting is not on a high level”, says Jürgen Doh, President of the Stuttgart Silver Arrows. Anyway 30 percent of the nearly 90 adult members of the club find their way to the meeting, “but that is not enough to get a well balanced feedback for important projects.” That is also a reason, why the meeting was announced on Super Sunday. Most of the time more people came watching the Bowl then visiting the meeting. “Now they come a few hours earlier.” Noticeable, the do so the second time.

The reelection is no critical point in view of the board. “We are asking for feedback the whole year to avoid critical situations”, says Alexander Hildebrandt, Vice President. They all agree that the only downer is the lack of sponsors. “That’s not a business of one”, Olaf Zimmermann, also Vice President clarifies. More likely personal contacts are a major factor. And more likely the lack of those contacts hurt. “As long, we work with what we get”, says Doh.

The amendment of the statutes is owned by the reform of the common public interest law by the legislation. “You’ll have to be up to date in those kinds of reforms, not to miss any important part”, states Doh the interest of the board. The new statutes will also account for the option to pay members a lump-sum for they effort. “This could be a special motivation for members to bring in themselves.” In near future this will be no option for the Arrows at all, as long as their budgetary position disallows. This is noted in the statutes too.
